TYLER — A former Tyler nurse was indicted Tuesday for capital murder.
William George Davis is charged with the deaths of two patients at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances.
According to an affidavit in April of this year, Davis allegedly entered a patient's room on three occasions and performed some “unskilled and/or unnecessary and/or inappropriate intervention for the patient."
In each case, the patient's health deteriorated. One patient died and two others went into a persistent vegetative state. One of those two would later die.
Davis was fired in February and his nursing license was suspended in March.
In April, he was arrested and charged with murder.
On Tuesday, a Smith County grand jury indicted Davis for capital murder of multiple people.
