FEMA disaster recovery centers changing schedule

Beginning July 29, all FEMA disaster recovery centers will transition to a new schedule, closing their doors on Sundays.

TEXAS, USA — All FEMA disaster recovery centers in Texas will be changing their schedule beginning Sunday, the organization said in a press release.

Beginning July 29, all FEMA disaster recovery centers in the state will transition to a new schedule, closing their doors on Sundays and operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. These centers were previously opened to help Texans recover from the April 26-June 5 storms and flooding and Hurricane Beryl.

To apply with FEMA, residents:

  • Go online to DisasterAssistance.gov.
  • Download the FEMA App for mobile devices
  • Call the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362 between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Help is available in most languages.
  • Visit any Disaster Recovery Center between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
