LONGVIEW — Carthage High School is mourning the loss of former student and football star, Austin Gray, who died after a head-on vehicle crash in Longview.
In a post on the Carthage High School Athletics Facebook page, the school says "It is with enormous heavy hearts that we have to say good bye to one of our own."
The post also sends prayers to Austin's family, friends and the class of 2018 and has several comments and shares.
According to the Carthage Police Department, his mother works for the area's sheriff's office.
Austin graduated from Carthage HS in the Spring of 2018.
