NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Two East Texas officers are being celebrated as heroes for saving a woman who was attempting to jump from a bridge.
Nacogdoches Police Department officers Seth Stover and Chris Snider were commended for their selfless actions in saving a woman experiencing a mental health crisis in September.
On Sept. 27, Stover and Snider worked together in an attempt to convince the woman to climb back over the guardrail. But despite their efforts, the situation deteriorated quickly and the officers bravely grabbed the woman. They then pulled her back over the guardrail to safety, according to the Nacogdoches police.
"We commend these officers for their selfless actions in saving someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Their exceptional efforts undoubtedly saved the life of the woman that day," Nacogdoches police said.
