HENDERSON, Texas — Newspapers in Northeast Texas and friends and family of longtime newspaperman Dan Moore are mourning his death.
Moore, of Tyler, died June 30 after battling a year-long illness.
He served as Publisher and Editor of The Henderson News from 2017 until his retirement in 2022, during which time he played a vital role in the survival of the newspaper, taking on the hard task of transitioning the publication from a daily to semi-weekly print schedule.
