MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — An East Texas man accused of using social media to get child pornography was arrested Friday in Mount Pleasant.
Jerry Henderson, 53, was charged with possession of child pornography after a joint investigation with the Mount Pleasant Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Mount Pleasant police said they received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning online child pornography. An investigation into Henderson found he was allegedly using social media to obtain illegal material.
After a search warrant was issued at Henderson's home in Franklin County, officers found that Henderson was in possession of child porn. He was then arrested and booked into the Franklin County Jail.
