SMITH COUNTY, Texas — All of the East Texas Food Bank Resource Centers will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 12 for a staff training.
This includes the Longview, Lufkin, Texarkana and Tyler locations. The centers will re-open on Friday, Sept. 13 to their regularly scheduled hours. The centers will be back serving the communities on Friday.
"The mission of the East Texas Food Bank Tyler Resource Center is to fight hunger and feed hope in East Texas," reads their mission statement.
