CAMP COUNTY, Texas — An East Texas convicted sex offender was arrested Thursday morning for child porn possession.
The Camp County Sheriff’s Office and agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Divisions (CID), arrested Christopher Joseph Daigre, 37, on two counts of possession of child pornography after a search warrant was obtained for his residence.
“During the execution of the search warrant and a noncustodial interview, Daigre, a registered sex offender, admitted to possession of child pornography on his cell phone,” Sheriff John Cortelyou said. “He showed law enforcement officers files containing child sexual abuse material.”
Officials say Daigre’s computer was also seized for further investigation.
