East Texas Conn's HomePlus stores among locations closing following company's bankruptcy filing

The stores are hosting a going out of business sale saying that everything must go with items 30 to 50% off in store and online.

TYLER, Texas — East Texas locations of the home goods store Conn's HomePlus are shutting down after the 134-year-old furniture and electronics retailer recently filed for bankruptcy.

Tyler, Longview, Lufkin and Texarkana Conn's are closing their doors as well as all other locations. The stores are hosting a going out of business sale saying that everything must go with items 30 to 50% off in store and online. 

According to USA Today, the furniture and electronics retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Tuesday and began announcing plans for store closures. Since that announcement, the company has decided to close all locations. 

Conn's is headquartered in the Woodlands and located primarily in the southern United States. USA Today reported that Conn's total revenue was down 7.8% year over year and that the company posted a net loss of nearly $77 million for the year.
