Longtime East Texas city councilman, fire department captain passes away

Payne Springs Fire and Rescue said Friday that Eustace Fire Department Capt. Adrian Parham passed away "unexpectedly." He also served on the Eustace City Council.

EUSTACE, Texas — Community members are mourning the loss of a longtime Eustace city councilman and firefighter.

Payne Springs Fire and Rescue said Friday on Facebook that Eustace Fire Department Capt. Adrian Parham passed away "unexpectedly." He also served on the Eustace City Council for multiple years.

His most recent city council term was set to expire in 2024, according to the city of Eustace website.

"Adrian was a dedicated family man and together with his wife Amy, participated in many local activities through the fire department or as a member of city council," the Payne Springs Fire and Rescue post said. "He loved to fish and was an accomplished pit master that could often be found tending his smoker."

The post said Payne Springs is shocked and sadden upon hearing of Parham's passing. PSFR asked for privacy for the family as they deal with this sudden and tragic loss.

"We work very closely with Eustace Fire and we have worked with Adrian for many years. RIP Brother," the post read.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family pay for expenses. To donate, click here.
