HENDERSON, Texas — The Henderson Police Department is looking for a man accused of shooting a business owner while trying to rob them last Friday.
According to police, a man shot the owner at Rosita's Conexion Latina, a local grocery store at 1500 W. Main St., during an attempted robbery. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The victim was treated for his injuries and later released from the hospital.
On Wednesday, the police department released a Texas Department of Public Safety sketch of the suspect. The description says he is a Hispanic man who wore a green brim hat, dark clothes, construction boots, a camo bandana and dark gloves. Police say the suspect claimed during the robbery that he has a sick family member in need of money.
