NASHVILLE, Tenn. — East Texan and country singer Neal McCoy will be honored with a lifetime achievement award this October.
On Friday, the Josie Music Awards announced McCoy will be presented the "Lifetime Career Achievement" award at the 10th annual Josie Music Awards on Oct. 27 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. The country music legend will then perform.
McCoy also hit a major milestone in January. He has recited the "Pledge of Allegiance" on Facebook for eight years. On Jan. 7, he marked the 2,924th consecutive day of saying the pledge. He recites the pledge every morning between 9 and 10 a.m.
