Deputies looking for pastor who allegedly sexually assaulted a child more than 50 times

Authorities believe that during the years of 2004 and 2005, Rendon sexually abused the child over 50 times while he was the pastor of the church. He is known to have family in Tyler, Dallas and Mexico.

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY — Deputies from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office are asking locals to help them find 52-year-old Jose Uriel Rendon, a pastor who allegedly sexually assaulted a child more than 50 times between 2004 and 2005.

According to authorities Rendon is a wanted fugitive on the run, and deputies are continuing their investigation after after the victim made an outcry of sexual assault.

Rendon had agreed to meet with investigators on Monday morning to talk about the allegations against him, but never showed up.

Investigators found out that Rendon has been gone from his home since Tuesday and is believed to be on the run from authorities.

The sheriff's office said that Rendon, a pastor at Templo De Fe Church in Nacogdoches County, used his position in the church to take advantage and sexually assault a child.

Authorities believe that during the years of 2004 and 2005, Rendon sexually abused the child over 50 times while he was the pastor of the church.

Investigators got enough probable cause for a warrant for Rendon’s arrest for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.

Rendon is known to have family in the Tyler and Dallas area as well as Mexico.
