A Dairy Queen location in Tyler reopened after shutting its doors due to storm damage in April.
The Dairy Queen near the Village at Cumberland Park shopping center in Tyler opened as of Friday after suffering damage from a storm in April of 2024. According to Tyler Police Department, a fire had broken out due to a lightning strike. The roof was damaged, but no injuries were reported.
Officials said the location would be closed until repairs could be made to the roof. Those repairs have been completed and the location is now open to business.
