Police looking for driver after cyclist killed in Jacksonville hit-and-run crash

The crash remains under investigation.

JACKSONVILLE, Texas — A 25-year-old man died from his injuries after he was hit by a vehicle the day before Thanksgiving while riding his bicycle in Jacksonville. 

Tayedrian Baker was traveling in the 1000 block of Austin Street on an electric bike when he was struck by an unknown vehicle around 9 p.m. on Nov. 27. He was taken to the hospital for his critical injuries, but he later died. 

The vehicle fled the scene, and investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the vehicle and driver. Detectives have been canvassing the area attempting to locate surveillance video as well.

Those who have information are asked to call 903-586-2549 and speak with detectives. People may remain anonymous. The crash remains under investigation.
