FRANKSTON, Texas — A bicyclist is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Anderson County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Tuesday, around 12:35 a.m., troopers responded to U.S. Hwy. 175 , just east of Frankston, on reports of a crash.
The preliminary investigation revealed a pickup, driven by Terry McMillian 49, of Seagoville, was traveling west on US 175. At the same time, a cyclist, identified as Russell Warrington, 67, of Frankston, was stationary in the the eastbound lane of US 175 when it was hit by McMillian's vehicle.
Warrington was pronounced dead at the scene. McMillian was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
