Crews start construction on indoor pickleball facility coming to Tyler

Organizers hope the new facility will serve pickleball enthusiasts in the Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas region.

TYLER, Texas — Construction is underway for a facility that will bring 12 indoor pickleball courts to Tyler.

Tyler Indoor Pickleball held its groundbreaking Wednesday morning at its property, located at 5908 Rhones Quarter Road. The facility is expected to open in early 2025.

Along with the courts, amenities will include an ice bath, sauna and health room. Organizers hope the new facility will serve pickleball enthusiasts in the Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas region.

"It's going to be one of the best in Texas, if not, we're the only ones in East Texas," said Leilani Noga, Tyler Indoor Pickleball director of operations. "So it's super inspiring, and I really hope it becomes the mecca for not only Texas, but also Louisiana and Arkansas and all of that, because we really are the central point for pickleball at this point with this facility."

Noga said the goal is to attract 500 members to Tyler Indoor Pickleball.
