JACKSONVILLE, Texas — Crews have extinguished a house fire in Jacksonville on Thursday morning.
According to Jacksonville Fire Chief Paul Findley, fire crews responded around 7:45 a.m. at the home of 502 San Antonio St., which was reportedly vacant at the time.
When crews arrived on scene they were alerted "of the possibility of at least one occupant in the structure," according to the press release.
After extinguishing the fire around 9 a.m., the home was deemed vacant.
There is significant damage to the home but no reported injuries.
In addition to the Jacksonville Fire Department, two emergency units, two support staff and the fire marshal were on scene of the indecent.
This fire will continue to be investigated by the Jacksonville Fire Marshal's Office to identify the cause.
