PALESTINE, Texas — Police have released the identity of the 59-year-old motorcyclist who was killed Tuesday afternoon in Palestine.
Gary McShan, 59, of Elkhart, was driving his motorcycle south on Crockett Road when a Ford Explorer, driven by Cathrine Reagan, 40, of Elkhart, pulled out in front of him as she was coming out of the Palestine Mall. This caused McShan to strike the driver's side of the vehicle, according to the Palestine Police Department.
McShan was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An Inquest is being performed by Anderson County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Tammy Lightfoot.
