CONROE, Texas — Someone in Conroe has three million reasons to smile. That’s because that person just won a cool $3 million in a Texas Lottery scratch-off game.

According to the Texas Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at the Econo-Food Store on Frazier Street. It was in the 500X Loteria Spectacular game. The person who won the big payday wanted to stay anonymous.

The prize won in Conroe was the second of four top prizes worth $3 million to be claimed. In a news release posted Thursday, the lottery said that this particular scratch-off game offers more than $393 million in total prizes and that odds of winning any prize in the game are around one in 3.2.

While someone won $3 million in this scratch-off, someone else in the Houston area could be about to lose $1 million. That's because whoever bought a Powerball ticket worth $1 million in Houston in June hasn't come forward yet and only has a few days left to claim the prize
