SAN AUGUSTINE, Texas — The City of San Augustine is welcoming a new police chief with the retirement of the previous chief.
Shannon Brazeal of the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office will take over as San Augustine Chief of Police.
The previous chief, Jesse Fountain, is retiring from the position.
Brazeal has previously served as Chief Deputy with the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office. He has served in multiple positions in law enforcement throughout his career.
