HENDERSON, Texas — The city of Henderson is set to host a community wide event for those in need of decluttering their homes from waste.
The free community clean-up event is scheduled to be on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1203 Highland Drive in Henderson.
Some of the items accepted at the event include:
- Rimless standard tires
- Lawn clippings
- Construction debris
- Paper and plastic recycling
- Broken electronics
People should be advised that glass, batteries, oil, wet paint and other chemicals will not be accepted at the site.
To dispose of paint related products, individuals should remove the lids from the cans allowing for the paint to naturally dry before disposal.
All electronics should have personal files along with memory cards erased prior to disposal.
