TYLER, Texas — Christus Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler is planning a big reunion to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its NICU.
The neonatal intensive care unit opened in 2008, and to celebrate the staff is asking the NICU families from over the years to come together on Sunday, May 5 at W.T. Brookshire Conference Center. The reunion will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.
Tiffany Taylor, medical director for Christus TMF NICU and neonatologist, said the event will include carnival games to win prizes, bounce houses, slides, fake tattoos, goodie bags, a reading station and a coloring station.
There are lots of nurses and medical providers that would love to see the former NICU children and their entire families. The theme for the reunion is Candy Land, Taylor said.
T-shirts (in youth and adult sizes) will be sold for $10 to fundraise for next reunion, which will done in about five years, Taylor said.
