Christmas cheer found in award-winning displays around Longview

"We are so excited that we won," said Niki Groce, executive director of the Longview Symphony.

LONGVIEW, Texas — Christmas took on many different forms this year in Visit Longview's Holiday Decorating Contest: A more than 20-foot snowman, lights synchronized to music and a giant snow globe. Buddy the Elf and his friend, Mr. Narwhal. A Nativity scene along with a prism-shaped Christmas tree and a host of other decorations.

Visit Longview announced winners of the contest this week, with drive-by worthy displays taking home the top prizes.

"We are so excited that we won," said Niki Groce, executive director of the Longview Symphony. The symphony's office is next door to Forbes & Butler Visual Communications at 106 and 104 W. Methvin in downtown Longview.
