TYLER, Texas — The Children's Miracle Network will host its inaugural pickleball tournament Saturday morning in Tyler as a fundraiser toward the organization's mission of improving children's health care.
The tournament will be held at 9 a.m. at Tyler Athletic and Swim Club, where over 60 participants are signed up to play. The club is located at 2767 Oak Creek Blvd.
All the funds raised go back to serving their mission. Children's Miracle Network Manager Christian Moiser said even the idea for the tournament was inspired by their kids.
"So when we started to think about something fun to do as a fundraiser, we noticed that a couple of our kids that had been miracle kids in the past were really into pickleball," Mosier said. "So we started following their journey and they were really good! So, when we decided to put on a tournament, the first people to sign up were of course some of our miracle children."
Even if people aren’t signed up to play, spectators are encouraged to come support. Some of our CBS19 crew will be there to join in on the fun and would love to see you there.
