TYLER, Texas — A new chicken wing restaurant chain will soon be coming to Tyler, according to a recent permit approval.
Wing Zone applied and was approved for a commercial permit at 1400 W Southwest Loop 323 Suite 20 in Tyler. The restaurant would be in the same shopping area as Rounder's Pizza, Sleep First Mattress and Dunkin'.
According to the company's website, Wing Zone was founded in 1993 and is known for cooked-to-order, flavor-fused chicken wings and tenders. Currently, there are three locations in Texas. Two are in the Houston area and the other is in McAllen.
The International Franchise Association said in a news release in October that Wing Zone will develop its brand in the third quarter of 2022 in several cities, including Tyler and Austin.
