Chapel Hill ISD reschedules groundbreaking ceremonies for bond projects to March 26

The two ceremonies will be held at the junior high building site and the high school bus loop.

NEW CHAPEL HILL, Texas — Chapel Hill ISD will hold two groundbreaking ceremonies for their upcoming bond projects on Tuesday, March 26. 

The ceremonies, which were originally scheduled for March 25, were rescheduled due to forecasted weather. 

The first ceremony will begin at 11:15 a.m. at the new junior high site, located at 3102 East 5th Street. 

The second will be held at the Chapel Hill High School bus loop starting at 12:15 p.m. Chapel Hill ISD said that the second ceremony will include the other projects that were passed within the bond. 

According to the district, the bond will allow officials to complete the following:

  • Build a new junior high
  • Construct CTE addition to high school to connect to main building
  • Six new classrooms at Jackson Elementary
  • Six new classrooms at Wise Elementary
  • Multi-purpose activity center
  • Replace current operations and transportation facility
