LINDALE, Texas — Two residents of Canada with the name of an East Texas town have made it a tradition to visit once a year.
Aleksander and Liliana Lindale have been called "local celebrities" after they chose to make the trip to Texas to visit Lindale, TX. They have made an annual tradition to visit the city, and made a stop at the Lillie Russell Memorial Library on Friday.
"We were so excited to have them back and can't wait to see them again next year," Lillie Russell Memorial Library posted on social media. "Your friends at the Lillie Russell Memorial Library wish you nothing but the best, Aleks and Liliana!"
Aleks and Liliana recently married in 2022, and chose the city of Lindale as their honeymoon location. Visit Lindale said that the two could think of no better way to celebrate their shared name than to make the trip to East Texas.
