LONGVIEW, Texas — Classrooms across Longview ISD would be secured behind interior locking doors as part of a proposed $360 million bond package on the Nov. 7 ballot.
Early voting continues through Nov. 3 for two propositions to allow Longview ISD to borrow money for a number of projects around the district.
Proposition A, which totals $292 million, includes funding for installing safety and security measures at all campuses throughout the district, installation of solar panels at many district facilities and work to the lighting at the Judson Middle School stadium.
