Caldwell Zoo reopens after suffering damage from severe weather

Swen also added that all of the animals in the zoo are safe after Monday's severe weather.

TYLER, Texas — UPDATE: Caldwell Zoo announced Friday that they have opened after a temporary closure due to fallen trees from recent severe weather.

Caldwell Zoo has announced they will be closed Tuesday due to storm damage caused by Monday night's severe weather.

Paul Swen, a spokesperson for the Caldwell Zoo, said in a press release that they have experienced a significant number of fallen trees around the zoo. 

Swen also added that all of the animals in the zoo are safe after Monday's severe weather.
