Bullard man sentenced to life in prison for possession with intent to deliver meth

A jury of twelve found John Michael Lydy guilty of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

According to a press release, Lydy was distributing meth from his trailer in the Shady-brook Sub-division outside of Bullard.

A member of the community who struggled with meth addiction reported Lydy's activities to the authorities.

Lydy is a habitual offender whose first felonies were repeated sexual assault of a small child.

"Selling hard drugs in not a victimless crime," said Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Richey in a press release. "Mr. Lydy has shown repeatedly that he isn't willing to stop hurting people in this county, especially children."
