City of Bullard issues stage 1 water conservation notice

A spokesperson for the city of Bullard said that they are anticipating an extremely high water demand across their system.

BULLARD, Texas — The city of Bullard announced Wednesday they will be implementing water usage restrictions for customers of city of Bullard utilities.

A spokesperson for the city of Bullard said they are anticipating an extremely high water demand across their system and announced a stage 1 conservation notice for all customers on city of Bullard utilities effective July 5. They cited summer weather conditions, limited rainfall and extreme heat, as well as unforeseen mechanical issues with a water well for the expected high demand.

The following restrictions will be in effect:

  • Residents living at addresses with an even number are permitted to use water outside on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Residents living at addresses with an odd number are permitted to use water outside on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday.
  • All outdoor usage of water is prohibited on Friday.

Violation of the conservation notice may result in a written warning for the first offense, with subsequent offenses resulting in a citation. The ordinance will go into effect Friday. The ordinance only effects customers on Bullard Water.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to Bullard City Hall by calling 903-894-7223 or via email to utilitydirector@bullardtexas.net.
