HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — A Henderson County man was arrested Wednesday for sexual abuse of a child, according to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office.
Billy Lide, 79, of Brownsboro, was arrested following a search warrant conducted by the Henderson County Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children Task Force, Narcotics Investigators and Special Assignment Deputies. The Henderson County Sheriff's Office allegedly found probable cause while searching his home that led to an arrest warrant being issued.
Lide was booked into the Henderson County Jail and has been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a young child, with additional charges to come for delivery of a controlled substance or marijuana to a minor, according to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office. He is currently awaiting arraignment.
