TYLER, Texas — The 20th Brookshire's and Super 1 Foods Heroes Flight Tour to Washington D.C. took place Monday for the first time since being paused due to COVID-19.
The flight consisted of 19 East Texas veterans from World War 2, the Korean War, Vietnam War and the Gulf War. Veterans from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were also present.
"I've been waiting for it for several days now, it's about to happen, all places like Iraq, Vietnam, Korean all those memorial I should say," Vietnam War veteran Dan Clyburn said.
The veterans will return to Tyler Wednesday evening.
