TYLER, Texas — A Bass Pro Shop is coming to East Texas soon.
Bass Pro Shops have confirmed their plans to build a location in Tyler. A filing made with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation showed Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World registered for a renovation/alteration in Tyler at the former RVs by Camping World, located at 151 Market Square Blvd.
The project to set start Aug. 17 and should be complete by Feb. 13, 2025, according to the TDLR records. The estimated cost is $13 million.
Bass Pro Shops said in a release, "this Tyler location adds to the expansion plans the company has in the great state of Texas, including new locations in Grand Prairie, Spring and Odessa."
The Tyler location is expected to be a 73,542 square foot renovation of the existing building into a Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World.
"Bass Pro Shops looks forward to partnering with the City of Tyler to bring the widest selection of hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation gear in the industry, with inventory specifically tailored to the region. This retail attraction is expected to open in the first half of 2025," the release said.
This would be the first location in East Texas as the nearest locations are in Garland or other cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Bossier City, Louisiana.
