BOWIE, Texas — A Bowie County man faces federal child pornography charges after he was indicted by a grand jury Wednesday.
According to Department of Justice, William Johnson Springer, 60, was found to have graphic images and videos depicting child pornography on his cell phone in Sept. 2019.
The DOJ says Springer already has a conviction of child pornography in Oklahoma going back to 2009. He was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison and five years of supervised release.
He also has pending charges of failing to comply with registration requirements in Bowie County.
If convicted, Springer faces a minimum of 10 years in federal prison.
