BIG SANDY, Texas — Randy Travis, a country music legend with a career that spans over four decades, made a stop in East Texas Wednesday night.
The "Forever and Ever, Amen" singer visited Circle M Crawfish in Big Sandy Wednesday evening, the restaurant shared on Facebook. Travis lives in the North Texas town of Tioga.
"There’s a reason Circle M Crawfish is 30 years in the making, it’s because of the amazing support of our customers and community," the post read. "Tonight we were honored to have Country Music Legend Randy Travis stop by to visit us! Thank you for spending time with us and being one of the many reasons Circle M is special and the place to be!"
Travis is known for country and gospel music with songs like "On the Other Hand", "Forever and Ever, Amen", "I Told You So", "Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart", and "Three Wooden Crosses." He has won seven Grammy Awards, six Country Music Association Awards, and eleven Academy of Country Music awards.
In May this year, Travis released his first new song titled "Where That Came From," in over 10 years. He hadn't recorded new music after he suffered a life-threatening stroke in 2013.
