The homeowner found smoke in the attic, which Greaser said was potentially caused by a lightning strike.

BULLARD, Texas — A home in Bullard catches fire multiple times after being hit twice by lightning.

The homeowner found smoke in the attic, which Greaser said was caused by a lightning strike.

Greaser said the damage was confined to the attic, and the living space was not impacted.

Firefighters then had to suit back up after lightning hit the home for a second time. SCESD and City of Tyler fire department remained on scene and regained control.

According to a Facebook post, everyone is safe.

Since Monday’s storms started, crews have responded to multiple downed trees and power lines, especially in the southern part of Smith County, Greaser said.
