ATHENS, Texas — An Athens man accused of sexually assaulting children and showing them pornographic videos was arrested this week.
Jordan Lee Smith, 18, is charged with indecency with a child, solicitation of prostitution of a person under 18 years old, sale or distribution of harmful material to a minor and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was booked into the Henderson County Jail Monday on bonds totaling $460,000, according to jail records.
According to an arrest affidavit, a juvenile reported to authorities in July that Smith showed the child and another juvenile pornographic videos on his cell phone about two months ago. The juvenile also told investigators that Smith sexually assaulted them and Smith offered a juvenile money to perform a sexual act on him.
The juvenile said Smith gave them alcohol, which Smith admitted to. He said he and the children consumed the alcohol at his home, the affidavit said.
Another juvenile also told investigators that Smith touched them inappropriately while he was intoxicated, the affidavit read.
