LONGVIEW, Texas — A domestic dispute in Longview ended in a shooting left one person hospitalized earlier this week.
The Longview Police Department said officers arrived to the scene at the 300 block of Margo Street at 6:20 p.m. Monday. Officers found a female victim with two gunshot wounds. The victim was brought to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation conducted by Longview police identified LaQualon Hale, 21, as a suspect. A warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and family violence was issued, and he was arrested Wednesday.
Longview PD reminded residents after his arrest that resources exist for those in abusive relationships. Resources available in the area include the Women’s Center of East Texas in Longview at 903-295-7947 and the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-SAFE (7233).
