The Tyler Junior College Apache Belles will be back in Houston on Thanksgiving Day to perform in the 74th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade for the 24th time.

The City of Houston says the Tyler-based drill team will perform their signature high-kick routine in front of the grand stands as part of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo segment.

“We’re proud to spend our Thanksgiving sharing a bit of TJC friendliness and hospitality with the people of Houston," said Apache Belles director Jasilyn Schaefer.

The Apache Belles have been performing for audiences around the world since 1947.

"It is the kickoff to the holiday season, Texas style, everything is bigger in Texas and ringing in the holidays is no exception. It really gives us a sense of hometown pride and we get to take a little bit of East Texas down to Houston and show them what we’re all about," Said Schafer.

You can catch the parade from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 23, on CBS19.
