TYLER, Texas — The annual Rose City Music Festival is set to return to the downtown Tyler square this weekend. And there will be some big names taking the stage.
To mix it up, guests can enjoy a blend of hip-hop and country tunes at the festival. Headliners include Whiskey Myers and Ludacris.
"They have really done a diverse lineup. We love having them here. So it's gonna be a fun time," City of Tyler Main Street Director Amber Varona said.
Although the square will be blocked off till Sunday morning, Varona said this year there will be three different entrances to make it more efficient for guests.
"If you have a VIP ticket, the entrance will actually be off Spring Ave. So that's on the east side of the square. And the other two general concert only entrances will be off of Irwin and Ferguson on the west side of the square," Varona said.
They’re also bringing back the local food sampling booths. It’s a great opportunity for local downtown businesses to get more traffic through the door.
"We're fortunate to that we'll be able to work with the downtown business owners and the event to make both successful," Varona said.
Andy Erbaugh with Tyler Police Department said to ensure safety they will be assisting with security.
"There will be sheriff's deputies that are assisting in security and then a private security company as well. We want everybody to have a good time but stay safe," Erbaugh said.
You can still buy tickets to the Rose City Music Festival online.
