DALLAS — UPDATE: The 13-year-old girl has been reported as found by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A teen girl has been reported missing from a North Texas town.
Princeton Police Department issued an Amber Alert for a 13-year-old girl. The girl's family reported her missing around 5 a.m. Saturday morning, according to PPD. Police say she was last seen around 2:40 a.m. in the 1000 block of Princeton Blvd.
According to a Facebook post from Princeton PD, this case is not thought to be an abduction. The initial Amber Alert stated the case was an abduction, but Princeton Police say they are working with Texas DPS to correct the error.
Princeton Police Department said the girl had been in contact with her parents throughout the day, and they believe she is in the Austin area.
According to PPD, a white Dodge Ram truck is involved, though the department did not specify how.
