TYLER, Texas — Several East Texas high schools received donations from the Altra Federal Credit Union.
Through their High School Spirit Debit Card Giveback Program, the Altra Federal Credit Union has made donations to five East Texas high schools.
- Lindale High School: $620
- Chapel Hill High School: $670
- Tyler High School: $1,145
- Tyler Legacy High School: $350
- Whitehouse High School: $300
The giveback program allows community members to show their school pride through their purchases and make a meaningful impact in return, according to Altra Federal Credit Union. When someone opens a checking account with Altra and chooses one of the High School Spirit debit cards, $5 is donated to the chosen school.

This is the second year of the program. According to Altra, they presented nearly $10,000 in donations this year, garnering over $20,000 since the program's inception to support school programs and activates as the schools see fit.
"Our commitment to supporting local schools is a core part of our mission and Helping Members Live Their Best Lives," Danielle Anderson, the youth strategies manager at Altra, said. "This program has received great feedback because members can show their school spirit, help support their schools and have a positive impact on students."
