LIVINGSTON, Texas — Four people, including three children, were killed after a two-vehicle crash in Deep East Texas Thursday night.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal wreck happened around 10:15 p.m. on Highway 146, near Millgate Road. Shemikia Brown, 34, of Livingston, was driving a Buick south, when for an unknown reason at this time, she traveled into the oncoming lane and struck a GMC.
Brown and three of her passengers, a 13-year-old girl, 11-year-old boy and 2-year-old boy were pronounced dead at the scene. A 6-year-old girl in the car was taken to a hospital for life-threatening injuries, DPS said.
The driver of the GMC was not injured. DPS said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
