A third person has been arrested in connection with a Jacksonville shooting that left one teen dead and another critically injured.
Alex Patricio, 18, is charged with murder, tampering with evidence and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon regarding an April 1 shooting in the 2000 block of S. Jackson St., Jacksonville police confirmed Thursday. Patricio's bonds total $1.4 million, jail records show.
The shooting killed Daniel V. Benitez, 15, of Bullard, and left his brother Jesus V. Benitez, 17, injured.
Octavio Abundes, 19, was arrested last week on charges of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A 15-year-old was already charged with murder in connection with the shooting, but his name will not be released due to his age.
