POLICE: Man found unconscious after fight in Longview restaurant parking lot dies from his injuries

According to the Longview Police Department, officers responded to On The Border about a reported assault in the parking lot on Jan. 17.

LONGVIEW, Texas — A man who suffered life-threatening injuries from a fight in a Longview restaurant parking lot last month has died.

According to the Longview Police Department, officers responded to On The Border, located at 200 West Loop 281, about a reported assault in the parking lot around 8:20 p.m. Jan. 17. A man was found unconscious on the pavement and taken to local hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

On Friday, police said the victim still had life-threatening injuries, but on Saturday police reported in an update that the man died from his injuries. 

On Jan. 23, Treboria Wallace, 35, was arrested in Harrison County for an aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury charge in connection with the fight. He was released the same day on a $50,000 bond.
