HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — A 3-year-old child was taken to a Dallas hospital after nearly drowning in Henderson County Tuesday morning.
According to the Payne Springs Fire and Rescue, volunteers were told about a possible drowning in Enchanted Oaks around 10 a.m. Firefighters and EMS arrived at the scene and began treating the child.
UT Health Air 1 West set up a landing zone at the soccer field, and the child was transported via air to Children’s Hospital in Dallas.
Payne Springs Fire and Rescue said this was their third call on the lake involving children this summer.
"Please use the upmost caution on and around the lake with children," PSFR said.
