PALESTINE, Texas — The Palestine Police Department is searching for three individuals in Anderson County accused of manufacturing drugs.
Jerryl Mims, 51, was let out on bond after he was booked in Anderson County Jail. He had previously been wanted for failure to maintain fiscal responsibility, and was found in possession of methamphetamine before his arrest, according to Palestine P.D. He has since received additional charges related to the manufacture and sale of drugs as well as theft of a firearm. According to the Palestine P.D, Mims was allowed to bond out on the municipal warrant before additional charges were filed.
Officials conducted a search warrant of Mims' home and found 4.5 ounces of meth, 9,4 grams of rock cocaine, over 25 grams of ecstasy, 13 grams of PCP, 6.8 ounces of marijuana, 4 grams of Xanax, 9 grams of Hydrocodone and 5.5 ounces of K2, according to law enforcement. Digital scales and packaging materials were also found in the home.
A stolen gun was found in the same room with most of the drugs. Officials said identifying documents belonged to Mims. Officers determined the gun was stolen in a vehicle burglary from Palestine in 2023.
Additional warrants were obtained for Eric Hill, 48, and Latonya Gaston, 46, both of Palestine, who are wanted by Palestine police for the manufacture and delivery of dugs.
