LINDALE, Texas — Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Lindale Tuesday afternoon.
According to Lindale Police Captain Brent Chambers, a motorcycle and car crashed into each other near the intersection of South Main St. and Interstate 20 in Lindale.
The motorcycle was traveling southbound on the shoulder lane of South Main St. as a car was turning into the McDonald's parking lot.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and was flown to a Tyler hospital to treat injuries, Chambers said.
The driver of the car was also taken to a hospital in Lindale for treatment.
At this time there is no update on their conditions, Chambers said.
Traffic is flowing again after the crash scene was cleaned up.
Chambers urges drivers to beware of their surroundings and to not ride on the shoulder lanes.
